Rosebud Technologies has been a services partner for Le Point since 1996. Starting with the implementation of a Intranet Archive system using the Verity search engine, and the structuring of the weekly magazine using our e-Gate technology. We launched Le Point's first Web site in 1999. At the time the Web site was positioned as a "partner" site, with the goal of increasing readership of the magazine and selling subscriptions online. This first version had very little free content on line, and was pretty much dedicated to subscribers. We won several calls for proposals over the years, in 2005 and then again in 2007.
This latest version of the site was transformed into a true daily news source of information; a team of 12 journalists work around the clock putting information on line constantly.
Traffic has exploded hitting 8 million VU and 28 million page views (and growing).
From a fonctionnal point of view, Rosebud has implemented unique features allowing Le Point to publish in real-time and with a simple drag-and-drop not only articles but special reports, slideshows, chats, etc.
The Antidot search engine was installed with real-time indexation of news feeds and links tying articles together ("see also"). RatioMedia back office gives journalists the possibility of accepting or discarding these links. They can also create their own links to other editorial objects (articles, videos, slideshows etc.)
